            What is greatness? Everybody wants to be great. Nobody ever wants to be great less. Every body dreams of becoming important in life. Fine these are good dreams and wishes.

            Mostly, we youths have lost the desire to earn a honest living. All we care about is how we can make money irrespective of the means. The prevalence of cyber crimes is on the increase day by day which is affecting the image of Nigeria. Greatness cannot be achieve through illicit actions but through honest means

            We might say that I can achieve greatness through illicit means and get away with it, but we’ve forgotten that such greatness will not last long and in the end we will be ashamed of our own achievement.

            The acronym G.A.T.E stands for ‘’Greatness achieved through excellence’’. It is only through excellence, hard work, and right mind set that we can achieve greatness. We should see ourselves as handy-capable and not handy-cap in achieving excellence. Anybody that desire greatness should have it at the back of his or her mind that it can only be achieve through excellence coupled with the right mind set.

            One of the right minds set is positive thinking. I don’t think there is anybody that has ever achieved anything worthwhile by living in negativism. How do you expect to achieve excellence when all you think is negative thoughts? Until you start changing your negative thoughts, you continue to live in the captivity of negativity. If you desire excellence, you need to change your thoughts pattern, for only positive minds achieve great things.

            Another right minds set for achieving excellence is dreams. This works in correlation with positive and negative thoughts. Succinctly put, positive thoughts, positive dreams; negative thoughts, negative dreams. Until you start changing the dreams about yourself to positive dreams, greatness will never be your companion. How do you expect to attain greatness when you don’t see anything good in your self? Until you start changing your belief about yourself, until you have good dreams about yourself, you can never achieve greatness through excellence. The reason why it is good to dream is because in dreams, there are no excuses.

            Greatness is achieved through excellence. Let that be your watchword through out the remaining days of the year.
